Jennifer Magida

Jennifer Magida has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Currently, they are the CEO of the New York Peace Institute, a position they have held since January 2019. Prior to this, they were the Founder and Executive Director of the Youth Advocacy Corps, starting in January 2015. Jennifer has also served as a Board Member of Global Potential from December 2014 to December 2017, and as a Board Member of the Resilience Advocacy Project from January 2008 to September 2015. Additionally, they held the position of Senior Staff Attorney, Special Litigation Unit at the New York Legal Assistance Group from January 2008 to August 2014, and was a Staff Attorney at the Urban Justice Center from September 2005 to January 2008. Before their work in the United States, Jennifer was a Clinical Attorney/Legal Extern at the University of Cape Town in 2004 and a Legal Intern at The AIRE Centre in 2003.

Jennifer Magida attended Yale University and earned a Bachelor's degree. Jennifer then went on to the University of Michigan Law School where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. In 2017, they enrolled in the Senior Leaders Program for Nonprofit Professionals at Columbia Business School and received a certificate. No specific field of study was provided for any of the degrees or programs.
