Jerry Hou is an accomplished conductor and educator currently serving as the Assistant/Cover Conductor with the New York Philharmonic since December 2021. In addition, Jerry holds a position as the Artist Teacher of Orchestras and Ensembles at Rice University since August 2014. Previous roles include Resident Conductor and Associate Conductor at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra from May 2020 to September 2023, and Resident Conductor at the Grand Teton Music Festival from June 2016 to September 2023. Jerry also contributed as an Artistic Adviser for the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra from March 2018 to April 2019 and as a Guest Conductor for Ensemble Signal in April 2019. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Musical Arts in Conducting from the Eastman School of Music, a Master of Music from Rice University, and a Master of Philosophy in Contemporary Music from the Royal Northern College of Music.
