Katie Curran

Katie Curran is an accomplished clarinetist with extensive experience in both orchestral and theatrical settings. Currently a substitute clarinetist for WICKED on Broadway since February 2023 and for the New York Philharmonic since September 2015, Curran has also held positions as a teaching artist at the Oregon Bach Festival in July 2024. Notable theatrical credits include substitute clarinetist roles in productions such as "Camelot," "Into the Woods," and "My Fair Lady" at Lincoln Center Theater. Curran served as the second clarinet for the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra from September 2008 to May 2017. With academic credentials that include a Master of Music from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Central Michigan University, Curran has demonstrated a commitment to both performance excellence and arts education.
