Shannon Toumey

Senior Vice President, Marketing & Brand Strategy at New York Post

Shannon Toumey has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Starting in 2003 at MTV Networks, they worked their way up from a Team Assistant to a Manager in Home Entertainment. In 2010, they joined Viacom as a Senior Manager in Marketing & Creative Development and later became the Director of Marketing & Creative Development. Shannon then moved to the role of Senior Director in Partner Marketing before leaving Viacom in 2015. Following their time at Viacom, Shannon worked as a Marketing & Creative Consultant, where they served as a Creative Director, Producer, Designer, and Marketing Strategist. In 2015, Shannon joined the New York Post as the Director of Integrated Marketing & Development for Post Studios, eventually becoming the Executive Director of Branded Content & Marketing Strategy and subsequently the Vice President of Strategy. Presently, Shannon holds the position of Senior Vice President of Marketing & Brand Strategy at the New York Post.

Shannon Toumey has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Boston College. In 2012, they attended the School of Visual Arts, focusing on Graphic Design. From 2009 to 2012, Shannon studied Creative Strategy, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Photoshop, and Color Theory at the NYU School of Continuing & Professional Studies.
