Amy Zhang

Amy Zhang is a skilled Associate Transmission System Planning Engineer at the New York Power Authority since November 2025. Prior to this role, Amy served as an Assistant Network Management Officer at Hydro One, focusing on distribution investment planning and asset management through technical studies and tailored power quality solutions. Experience includes internships at Arup, where designing power, light, and fire alarm systems was a key responsibility, and at Tidal Medical, developing a biomedical device. Amy also contributed to the Toronto Transit Commission as an Electrical Engineering Co-op, leading station upgrade designs, and at DPM Energy Inc, where roles involved electrical design and developing internal design standards. Amy holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
