Dr. John Cabral

Dr. John Cabral, DBA, PMP has a diverse range of work experience. Dr. John currently serves as the VP Digital Enterprise Architecture, Engineering, and Service Delivery at New York Power Authority. In this role, they are responsible for various areas such as enterprise architecture, digital service delivery, ecosystem architecture, and IT disaster recovery and resiliency.

Prior to their current position, Dr. Cabral founded and served as the principal consultant at Dyamix, where they provided advisory and consulting services in technology evaluation, IT service management, project management, and product management. One of their notable engagements at Dyamix was providing product delivery advisory services for the "Evolve NY" project, which focused on building a network of fast and reliable public high-speed DC fast charging stations for electric vehicles.

Furthermore, Dr. Cabral has experience as an adjunct professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where they taught courses in an adjunct capacity.

Earlier in their career, they held the position of Director Technical Services at Pfizer for over 20 years.

Their undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Eastern Connecticut State University. Dr. Cabral has also completed the Leadership Development Program (LDP) at the Center of Creative Leadership.

In addition to their degrees, Dr. Cabral has obtained several certifications, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Dr. John is also a Certified Scrum Master and has completed various courses and trainings in topics such as artificial intelligence, project management methods, change management, coaching skills, and IT service desk monitoring and metrics.
