Senior Director Business Value Optimization at New York Power Authority

Steven Damsky has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Steven began their career as the Director of Program Management at MGM Resorts International, where they successfully delivered multiple technology programs supporting a $13 billion construction project. Steven then worked as the Principal Project Manager at MWH, where they led the delivery of a custom $9.3 million Project Management Information System for the NYC Department of Environmental Protection. Steven later joined Experis/Manpower Group as a Senior IT Project Manager before moving on to the NYC Department of Education, where they served as the Deputy CIO - Strategic Planning/PMO. In this role, they built an Enterprise PMO and achieved notable success in improving project delivery capacity and maintaining budget and schedule adherence. Most recently, Steven worked at the New York Power Authority as the Senior Director of IT Strategy and Planning, where they played a crucial role in developing a $150 million 5-year IT Investment plan supporting the organization's digital transformation goals.

Steven Damsky holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the American University Washington College of Law. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering at The George Washington University. Steven also has additional certifications, including a Yellow Belt in Process Excellence from the New York Power Authority and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Steven Damsky has also received training in effective communication through the Dale Carnegie Training program.
