Tom Therkildsen

Tom Therkildsen is a seasoned event management professional with extensive experience in high-profile sports events. Currently serving as Vice President, Events, and Technical Director for the TCS NYC Marathon at New York Road Runners since August 2018, Tom has held various leadership roles focusing on event production and development since joining the organization in 2011. Previous experience includes a directorial position at The Madison Square Garden Company overseeing events for major sports teams. Education includes a B.S. in Sport Management with a focus on Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, complemented by international study at Deakin University. Tom possesses a proven track record in budget management, logistical coordination, and execution of large-scale events, notably contributing to the success of the TCS NYC Marathon and other esteemed competitions.
