Vaughn Mayers

Vaughn Mayers serves as the Chief of Staff for the New York State Senate since January 2015 and has extensive experience in political campaign management, having worked with various campaigns and organizations since 2010, including roles for Parker for Senate and Comrie for Senate. Additionally, Vaughn held the position of Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy at Medgar Evers College from January 2016 to July 2020 and previously worked as a Special Assistant to Senator Kevin Parker from January 2010 to May 2012. Early career experience includes serving as a Legislative Intern for Assemblyman Jeffrion Aubry. Vaughn holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from Medgar Evers College, a Master’s Degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management and Policy from NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, and completed the Beyond the Bars Fellowship in Social Justice Leadership at Columbia University.
