Amir Bassiri

Amir Bassiri is an accomplished professional in the healthcare policy sector, currently serving as Medicaid Director at the New York State Department of Health since May 2019. Previously, Amir held key roles within the same department, including Deputy Medicaid Director and Chief of Staff to the Medicaid Director. Prior to this, Amir was a Senior Policy Advisor for Health in the Office of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo from September 2015 to May 2019. Amir's career also includes a position as Director of Development at Urban Upbound from June 2011 to September 2015.
