Alex Tran

Alex Tran is currently employed as a Synchrotron beam line scientist at the New York Structural Biology Center. Previously, they held the position of Director, Project Engineer, Military and Government Programs at Applied DNA Sciences, where they designed and built prototype machines and instruments. With a background in physics, they also worked as an Applications Engineer at IBA Industrial and as a Senior Design Engineer at Sensitron Semiconductor. Alex holds a PhD in Physics from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, chemistry, and physics from Saint Olaf College.
