Irene Merrow

Irene Merrow is a seasoned comedy and entertainment writer with a freelance career spanning from November 2015 to the present. In conjunction with freelance writing, Irene serves as the Pitch Coordinator at the New York Television Festival, managing both the Pitch and Volunteer programs while acting as an Official Artist Liaison since September 2015. Irene also holds the position of Pop Culture/Entertainment Editor at The Indie Chicks, focusing on impactful articles for a young, independent female audience, and has experience as an Executive Assistant at Kabinett. Prior roles include internships at the New York Television Festival and The Playtone Company, as well as a Marketing and Outreach Assistant at ArtsEmerson: The World On Stage. Irene earned a degree in Writing for Film and Television from Emerson College in 2014.
