Melanie Sinesi

Melanie Sinesi currently serves as the Manager of Communications & Public Affairs at New York Transco since January 2024. Prior to this role, Sinesi was with Suffolk County from February 2018 to January 2024, holding several positions including Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Director of Community Affairs for Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, where responsibilities included coordinating COVID-19 emergency responses and managing vaccination clinics. Earlier in their career, Sinesi worked in the United States Senate for U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, filling roles such as Deputy Director of Constituent Affairs and Constituent Liaison. Sinesi earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Stony Brook University.
