Margarita Rosa is currently a board member at the New York Women’s Foundation, but has an extensive history of fighting for economic justice. Margarita began their career self-employed as an advisor before taking an executive director position at the National Center for Law and Economic Justice (NCLEJ).
At NCLEJ, Rosa was responsible for leading the organization and expanding their presence both online and in-person. Under their direction, NCLEJ joined as "of counsel" during final settlement negotiations for a major class action lawsuit that challenged fraudulent consumer debt collection practices. Rosa was also a guest speaker at several events, introducing NCLEJ to new audiences and strengthening the organization’s infrastructure.
After their time at NCLEJ, Rosa took on a role at Harvard University’s Advanced Leadership Initiative (2021 cohort). In this position, they continued their work advocating for economic justice on a national level.
