Marissa Crawford is the Director of Grants and Operations at the New York Women’s Foundation. Prior to their current role, Marissa worked as a Program Associate for Grantmaking and International Partnerships at the International Women's Health Coalition from March 2017 to January 2020. Her previous experience also includes working as a Manager at The Dog Walking Network from June 2014 to February 2016, where they were responsible forInspiring customer satisfaction and trust through effective management of daily schedules of 10-14 employees providing quality and timely pet care services to over 100 clients each day. Additionally, they supported continued growth through development of company website and promotional materials, along with staff recruitment and training. Marissa also has experience working as an Assistant to the Editors at the Journal of Comparative Politics from September 2012 to June 2013, where they facilitated communication between editors and reviewers through maintenance of reviewer database, provision of background research, and follow-up on reviewer responses and queries. Additionally, they contributed to journal quality through manuscript proofreading and editing and general office organizing. Marissa began their career as an Operations Process Manager at Wynndalco Enterprises, LLC. from February 2012 to March 2017.
Marissa Crawford has a Master of Arts in Political Science from The Graduate Center, City University of New York and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies and Spanish Literary and Cultural Studies from Rutgers University. Marissa is also a certified ESL teacher from Cambridge University.
