Julie Gunnell has extensive experience in grant management and nonprofit administration. Julie began their career as an Executive Assistant and Special Events Coordinator at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, where they successfully organized major fundraising events and managed communication with the board and volunteers. Julie then worked as a Graduate Intern at the American Cancer Society, gaining a comprehensive understanding of nonprofit administration through various assignments. Julie later joined the Boys & Girls Club of America, initially as a Federal Grants Coordinator, and eventually moved up to become a Federal Grants Administrator. Their excellent performance led to a promotion as the Director of Federal Grants, where they managed all federal funds passed to Boys & Girls Clubs across the U.S. Julie was later promoted to the Senior Director of Federal Grants Pass-Through Operations, where they were responsible for the allocation and administration of over $50 million in annual grant and sub-grant funding from the Department of Justice. Julie led a team of 14 and supported the development of grants management systems. Throughout their career, Julie has demonstrated strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and expertise in grants management.
