Renee Tonkin, PhD, is an accomplished entrepreneur and researcher focused on environmental innovation and education. As the founder of Science Owl, Renee aims to engage individuals in addressing environmental challenges through technological advancements. With experience in recruitment and strategic planning at the New Zealand Business Women’s Network, Renee has demonstrated expertise in social media marketing, significantly growing online followings. Additionally, Renee serves as an Eco-Entrepreneurship Mentor at GenEarth, guiding students in developing sustainable solutions. Previous roles include product development for the Young People's Trust for the Environment, research positions at Imperial College London, and contributions to the climate EdTech sector.
