Sally Garrett is a research and program lead at New Zealand Defence Force with a focus on climate change and extreme environments. Sally has experience in supporting the transition to a carbon-neutral defense force and increasing safety for sailors, soldiers, and aircrew. With a background in environmental and marine science, Sally previously worked as an oceanographer at Yachting New Zealand, supporting the New Zealand Sailing Team at the 2008 Olympic Games. Sally holds a Msc in Environmental and Marine Science from The University of Auckland and a degree in Operational Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
