Andrew Pragnell has a diverse range of work experience in the sports industry. Andrew began their career as the Sport and Recreation Partnerships Team Leader at Auckland Council from June 2012 to January 2015. Andrew then moved on to Sport New Zealand, where they held multiple roles including Manager of Partnerships from January 2015 to July 2018, and Acting General Manager of Partnerships & Communication from January 2018 to June 2018. In 2017, they briefly worked as the Commercial Manager for the Rugby League World Cup. Andrew is currently the Chief Executive Officer of New Zealand Football, a position they have held since July 2018.
Andrew Pragnell has a Bachelor's degree in Geography from The University of Auckland, which they acquired from 1996 to 1998. Later, from 2001 to 2002, they attended the same university to pursue a Master of Arts (Hons) in Development Economics and International Development. Moreover, in 2018, they enrolled at Melbourne Business School to study Digital Marketing and Analytics, although it is not specified when they completed this program.
