Christina Fleischmann is a seasoned research technician with extensive experience in laboratory settings, currently working at Scion since March 2017 as a Research Technician and Technical Assistant. Christina took a career break from 2012 to 2017 for maternity leave to care for a child's chronic inflammatory condition. Previous positions include Laboratory Technician at VLS, where Christina focused on qPCR testing for kiwifruit diseases, and Research Technician roles at Imperial College London and Queen Mary University, where Christina conducted research on biomarkers for lung cancer and managed sequencing and microarray services, respectively. Christina began the career in research at The Institute of Cancer Research, identifying cancer-predisposing genes. Christina holds a Master's Degree in Biology and Genetics from the University of Vienna, earned between 1995 and 2001.
