Manager - Scholarships, Global Development & Scholarships Division at New Zealand Foreign Affairs & Trade

Alexandra Grace currently serves as the Manager in the Scholarships division of the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, a position held since January 2021. Prior to this role, Alexandra was the Regional Director for Greater China and North Asia at Education New Zealand from January 2011 to June 2017. Alexandra's earlier experience includes serving as the Deputy Consul-General at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade from August 2008 to November 2010 and as a Policy Officer from December 2003 to April 2006, where responsibilities included overseeing civil and political rights at New Zealand's Permanent Mission to the United Nations. Alexandra's legal advisory experience encompasses New Zealand's positions on oceans, whales, and Antarctic law. Academically, Alexandra holds a Master’s degree in Pacific Asia from SOAS University of London, Mandarin language training from National Taiwan University, a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in International Relations and Affairs, and a Bachelor of Laws from Victoria University of Wellington.
