Emily McGeorge currently serves as an International Legal Adviser for Environment & Natural Resources at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade since November 2023. Previously, Emily worked as a Solicitor at the Department of Conservation from March 2022 to November 2023, having also held the position of Private Secretary to the Minister of Conservation at New Zealand Parliament for a brief period in 2021. Emily's legal career commenced at Bell Gully as a Solicitor and Summer Clerk, with additional experience as a Secondee at Auckland Community Law Centre. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nottingham and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Antarctic Studies from the University of Canterbury. Currently, Emily is pursuing further education at Massey University.
