Jared Kane

Jared Kane currently serves as the Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade since August 2021. Previously, Jared held various key positions within the New Zealand Defence Force, including Deputy Director Health and Safety for Defence Estate and Infrastructure and Health and Safety Manager for the same sector. Jared's career began at Order of St. John as an Emergency Medical Technician. Educational qualifications include a Master of Professional Practice in Occupational Health & Safety from Otago Polytechnic, a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health from Southern Institute of Technology, and several certifications in health and safety, project management, and change management from reputable institutions.
