Margaret Murphy has over 17 years of work experience in various HR and administration roles. Margaret currently works as a Lead People Systems Administrator at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade since 2023. Prior to this, they were a SAP SuccessFactors Systems Administrator at the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) from 2016.

From 2012 to 2016, Margaret worked at the Ministry of Business Innovation & Employment, where they held the positions of Senior Advisor HR Information & Analysis and Analyst - HR. Before that, they were an HR Analyst at the Ministry of Economic Development from 2010 to 2012.

Margaret also has experience working in multinational companies such as Diageo and Barclays Wealth Technology, where they worked as an HRIS Specialist and HR Administration and Reporting Analyst, respectively. Margaret started their career at JWT as a Financial Assistant - Project based.

Throughout their career, Margaret has gained expertise in HRIS administration, systems analysis and design, data analysis, management reporting, and HR project support. Margaret has also developed skills in areas such as SAP SuccessFactors, employee central, recruitment, onboarding, learning, identity authentication, reporting, and remuneration review processes.

Margaret Murphy received their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Information Systems and Electronic Commerce from Wellington Girls College, where they attended from 1995 to 1999. Margaret later pursued further education and obtained a BCA degree in Information Systems and Electronic Commerce from Victoria University of Wellington, completing their studies from 2000 to 2003.
