Simon Gibbs

Simon Gibbs currently serves as Manager Business and Finance Support at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade since July 2022. Prior to this role, Simon held multiple management positions at the New Zealand Defence Force from November 2015 to July 2022, including Manager Financial Accounting and Manager Capability and Strategic Projects, focusing on financial oversight and internal controls. Simon's earlier experience includes serving as Manager Strategy and Pricing at Airways New Zealand, where responsibilities included the strategic management of air traffic control services, and various roles in finance and accounting at companies such as Angel Trains Limited, ELEXON, and Staples Rodway. Simon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from Massey University and a bursary from New Plymouth Boys' High School.
