Yelena Hill

Yelena Hill is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public sector management, emphasizing research, evaluation, and capability development. Currently serving as Unit Manager for Monitoring Evaluation Research and Learning at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, Yelena leads data analysis and the IME team work programme. Previous roles include Manager of the China Capable Programme, focusing on enhancing New Zealand's relationship with China, and Manager of Business Analysis and Systems at the Ministry of Education, where Yelena spearheaded data strategy initiatives. With a strong background in knowledge management and research spanning multiple government agencies, Yelena has demonstrated leadership in cross-agency projects and the successful management of diverse teams. Yelena holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Management from the University of Otago and a degree in General Practice Physician, Paediatrician from Tashkent State Paediatric Medical University.
