Gwyneth MacLeod has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Gwyneth began their career in 1996 as an Air Traffic Operations Specialist at Airways New Zealand. From 1999 to 2004, they served as Principal Adviser in the Ministry of Transport, providing advice on international air services matters and participating in bilateral and multilateral negotiations.

In 2006, Gwyneth joined Booz Allen Hamilton as an Associate, where they worked until 2008. Gwyneth then moved to Strategy& as the Head of Aviation - Government, Policy & Regulatory Practice. In this role, they led commercial advisory projects and provided support to the European Commission in policy development and air service agreement negotiations.

Gwyneth joined PwC in 2012 as Director of Corporate Finance (Infrastructure). Gwyneth led a team of infrastructure professionals and provided advisory services in various areas, including transport infrastructure transactions, commercial due diligence, and infrastructure development.

In 2018, Gwyneth took on two roles simultaneously. Gwyneth worked as the Finance Head of Aeronautical Infrastructure Strategy at Auckland Airport, where they contributed to strategic development, pricing strategy, and stakeholder engagement. Gwyneth was also the Brexit refugee during this time.

In 2020, Gwyneth became the Head of Network Strategy and Investment at KiwiRail, responsible for planning and developing the investment program across metro areas. Additionally, they are currently serving as a Non-Executive Director at Make-A-Wish Pacific since 2021.

Gwyneth MacLeod holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Massey University (1998-2000). Gwyneth also obtained an MSc degree in Infrastructure Capacity management from Lincoln University (NZ) (1996-1997). Prior to that, they completed a Post-graduate Diploma in Business Administration (1992-1996) and a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management (1992-1995), both from Massey University.
