Andrew Bate

Andrew Bate is a seasoned technology and management professional with extensive experience in humanitarian and government sectors. Currently serving as the Humanitarian Technology Programme Manager for International Programmes at New Zealand Red Cross since September 2016, Andrew oversees a 40-member Information Technology and Telecommunications Emergency Response Unit, facilitating global deployment in crisis situations. Previous roles include managerial positions at Central Agency Shared Services, Ministry of Social Development, Tertiary Education Commission, and various other government organizations, demonstrating expertise in information services, web management, and solutions delivery. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of Auckland.
