Jane Derbyshire

Jane Derbyshire is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and organizational management across various sectors. Currently serving as the General Manager of Organisational Services at New Zealand Red Cross since October 2022, Jane oversees national financial management and commercial operations, including finance, audit, IT, and procurement. Prior to this role, Jane held the position of Director of Organisational Strategy and Performance at The Treasury - New Zealand, where responsibilities included strategy, governance, and risk management. Jane's 25-year tenure with the New Zealand Defence Force encompassed multiple leadership roles, along with international experience in Malaysia, Nepal, Thailand, Hawaii, and Afghanistan. Additionally, Jane served as Divisional Manager, Strategy and Coordination at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, where key projects focused on organizational change and diversity. Jane's educational background includes an Executive Fellows Programme from ANZSOG, a Company Directors course from the Institute of Directors in New Zealand, and dual degrees in Law and Commerce from The University of Auckland.
