Yasmeen Sears

Yasmeen Sears serves as the English Department Chair and Middle School English Instructor at Newark Unified School District since August 2021. Prior to this role, Yasmeen gained diverse experience as a Recreation Leader for the City of Union City from June 2015 to September 2022, where responsibilities included planning activities for youth groups and overseeing their safety. Yasmeen also worked as a Distance Learning Tutor with Care.com and held various positions in customer service and quality assurance, including roles at Accuray and Big O Tires. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, Davis, along with coursework from Ohlone College and James Logan High School.
