John Lesaine

John Lesaine currently serves as the Associate Dean for Student-Athlete Success and the Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Sport Professions at Newberry College, a position held since August 2009. Responsibilities include teaching courses within the sport professions curriculum and overseeing department operations. In addition, John Lesaine has held various roles at Newberry College, including Assistant Professor of Sport Professions, Assistant Dean for Student Success and Persistence, and Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. Outside of academia, John Lesaine is an NCAA women's basketball official and officiates for the Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League and the South Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Education in Sport Management from the United States Sports University and a Master of Science in Sport Psychology from Capella University, among other degrees.
