Russell Rivers

Russell Rivers has a strong background in creative and marketing roles, with experience spanning over two decades. Russell started their career as an Apparel Graphic Artist at Umbro USA in 1993 before moving on to become an Art Director at The Adams Group in 1998. Rivers then joined Sage Creative Group in 2010 as a Senior Art Director, where they managed art departments and design staff while creating campaigns for various media platforms. In 2014, they transitioned to ParkAve Creative as a Creative Director, overseeing the art department and design staff, and collaborating with art directors, copywriters, and clients to develop brand strategies and creative concepts. Following this role, Rivers worked as a Creative Director at Queue from 2014 to 2016, and then as the Owner and Creative Director at Idea House Creative, LLC from 2016 to 2020. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Marketing and Communications at Newberry College since February 2020.

Russell Rivers has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Advertising & Graphic Design from The University of South Carolina. Russell also completed a Graphic Design and Illustration AIT program at the US Air Force, located in Lowry AFB, Denver Colorado.
