Julie James

Short-term Fellow at Newberry Library

Julie James is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of art history. Currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor at Washington University in St. Louis, Julie teaches Global Renaissance Art and is a PhD candidate affiliated with the Newberry Library. Previous fellowships include the Short-Term Fellow at The Medici Archive Project and the Samuel H. Kress Fellow at Syracuse University. Julie's early career includes roles as a Library Assistant at Jewish Federation of Delaware and various internships focused on development and archival work at institutions like University of Pennsylvania Museum and National Museum of American Jewish History. Julie holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Art History from Washington University in St. Louis, a Master of Arts from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Arts in European History and Classics from the University of Delaware.
