Peter Alcock

Peter Alcock is an experienced professional in the fields of education, engineering, and management. Currently serving as Programme Leader for Personal Development-Digitalisation and Engineering at Newbury College since September 2019, Peter has held multiple roles there, including Engineering Lecturer and AEB Programme Leader. Prior to this, Peter worked as a Senior Welding & NDT Lecturer at Bournemouth and Poole College and as Managing Director of Pearly Gates and Railings Ltd, where a focus on bespoke metalwork design and fabrication was prominent. With a background as a Fabricator Welder for Robin Butler Engineering and Varivane Industries Ltd, Peter possesses extensive skills in welding and fabrication for various sectors, including aerospace. Additionally, Peter has experience as an operational retained firefighter with Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service and as a Software Engineer focused on bespoke booking platforms. Peter's educational qualifications include HNC/HND in Education & Training from Newbury College and various certifications in welding inspection from TWI Cambridge.
