Linda Scott

Linda Scott is an experienced professional with a strong background in democratic services and policy management. Currently serving as the Service Manager for Democratic Services at Newcastle City Council since January 2003, Linda oversees the council's committee structure, provides support to elected members, and manages elections and electoral registration, along with responsibilities in the Lord Mayor's Office. Previously, Linda held various roles at Easington District Council, including Tyne and Wear Policy Manager and Economic Development Officer, and worked as an European Adviser at Sunderland City TEC. Linda holds a Master's degree in Local Economic Development from Leeds Beckett University and a BA (Hons) in French and German from the University of Sunderland.
