Dr Sonia Bussey

Dr. Sonia Bussey is an accomplished academic and educator in the field of medical education, currently serving as the Director of Education (PG) at the School of Medicine, Newcastle University, alongside roles as a Senior Lecturer and Degree Programme Director for the Masters in Medical Education. With extensive experience in postgraduate medical education since February 2012, Dr. Bussey also contributes as an External Examiner at the University of Dundee and the University of Central Lancashire and holds the position of Associate Lecturer at The Open University. As the Founder and Chair of the Multidisciplinary Educators Group within the Association for the Study of Medical Education, Dr. Bussey actively promotes educational collaboration. Previous roles include lecturing in podiatry and serving as a specialist podiatrist, complemented by a robust educational background including a Doctor of Education from The Open University and a Master of Science in Advanced Practice from the University of Sunderland.
