Andrea Barbarino

Andrea Barbarino serves as the Head of Safety & Licensing Unit at newcleo since March 2022, managing an international team focused on safety and licensing for innovative lead cooled fast reactors. Previously, Andrea held various roles at Framatome from 2014 to March 2022, including Senior Engineer and Analyst, where involvement in core modeling and simulation, and oversight of nuclear safety studies for the EPR2 project, were key responsibilities. Prior experience includes a position as an R&D Engineer and code developer at AREVA NP, along with a trainee role in process engineering at Sogin. Andrea's educational background includes a Research Doctorate in Energetics from Politecnico di Torino and comprehensive studies in Energy and Nuclear Engineering.
