Florian Vaiana serves as the Deputy Head of the Plant Thermal-Hydraulics Unit at newcleo since December 2022, with prior experience at Framatome from October 2009 to December 2022, where responsibilities included leading research and development projects related to molten salt reactors and MYRRHA, as well as thermal-hydraulic studies for various nuclear applications. Florian's earlier roles include studies on transitory incidents in EPR projects and a doctoral research position at CEA, focusing on the coupling of neutronics and thermal-hydraulics for helium-cooled fast reactors. Educational background includes a Doctorate in Fluid Mechanics from Grenoble INP - UGA, complemented by an Engineering degree in Energy and Nuclear Engineering from Grenoble INP - Phelma and a Master’s in Mechanical Energy Engineering. Additionally, Florian served as a part-time instructor at Université Pierre Mendès-France Grenoble 2, teaching mathematics.
