Gilbert Pelly has over 30 years of extensive security experience, starting as a Commissioned Officer in the Royal Marines and the Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment. Gilbert then took on various leadership roles in security management at Horizon Nuclear Power, Submarine Delivery Agency, Defence Equipment & Support Agency, National Nuclear Laboratory, and newcleo. Their expertise includes nuclear security, Arctic operations, and NATO security, making him a well-rounded security professional.
Gilbert Pelly's education history includes completing a Diploma in Senior Course on Security Policy in Europe from Försvarshögskolan - Swedish Defence University in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained an NVQ Level 7 (Bach Degree Equiv) in Leadership and Management from City & Guilds between 1985 and 2009. Additionally, they completed a Young Officer training program at Royal Marines - Commando Training Centre in 1985-1986. Gilbert also earned A and O levels from Marlborough College between 1979 and 1984. Gilbert is also a FRGS - Fellow Royal Geographical Society and a MSyInst - Member of Security Institute.
