Owen Chirwa CEng MICE MAPM is an experienced project manager with a strong background in civil engineering and project controls, currently serving as Project Manager - Site Specific Design at newcleo since August 2023. Owen's professional journey includes roles as Project Lead Engineer and Integration Manager, where responsibilities involved overseeing the civil and structural aspects of nuclear projects in the UK. As ICE Chair for the Africa Regional Committee from January 2017 to April 2025, Owen provides strategic leadership and external relations. Previous experience includes senior positions at SENER, Rendel Limited, and Praxis Solutions, among others, with a focus on major infrastructure projects such as HS2 and Thames Tideway. Owen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Kingston University and has a longstanding career beginning in 1999, showcasing significant expertise across various engineering roles.
