Matthew Hamilton

Matthew Hamilton is a seasoned professional in sustainability and corporate responsibility, currently serving as the Senior Director of Sustainability and Climate at Newell Brands since September 2022. Matthew leads cross-functional teams on critical sustainability disclosures and oversees the company's sustainability strategy, focusing on greenhouse gas emissions, climate risk, and supplier engagement. Prior to this role, Matthew was the Director of Corporate Sustainability at VF Corporation, where leadership was demonstrated in supporting significant sustainability goals and renewable energy procurement. Matthew's extensive career also includes directorial experience in sustainability at Aspen Skiing Company and various research and policy roles at organizations like The Piton Foundation and Independent Sector. Academically, Matthew holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Political Science from Middlebury College.
