Eric Buterbaugh

Tier 3 Technical Support at Newforma

Eric Buterbaugh has had a long and varied career in the tech industry. Eric began their career in 2002 as a Software Technician for Primavera Systems Inc., where they provided comprehensive support for Expedition, an industry leading Project Management and Document Control application. Eric was the recipient of numerous customer and Executive commendations for providing excellence in customer support. In 2005, they moved on to SDC Solutions as the Manager of Support, where they implemented customer satisfaction surveys and created a formal escalation process to ensure resolution of complex issues. In 2006, Eric joined Newforma, where they held a number of roles over the years. Eric began as a Tier 3 Technical Support, then moved up to Tier 2 Technical Support, where they mentored and trained the Tier 1 team and was the team lead for administering content on the knowledge base. Eric then became a Technical Support Specialist, piloting the program to create a Tier 1 tech position, and then a Technical Communicator, developing online help documentation for new products and designing online documentation for Newforma Punch List. Finally, they became a Software Technologist, managing customer software implementations and assessing customer technical environments in preparation for deployment.

Eric Buterbaugh obtained a Technical Writing Certificate from California State University Dominquez Hills in 2012, a Certification in Computer Science and Database Admin from New Hampshire Community Technical College in 2000, and a BA in History and Social Studies from Worcester State University in 1993.
