Shannon Fraser

Shannon Fraser is a doctoral candidate in an interdisciplinary program at Memorial University of Newfoundland, focusing on political economy, political and medical anthropology, and critical mental health. With a diverse background in research and education, Shannon serves as a research assistant for multiple political science scholars, including Dr. Sarah Martin and Dr. Amanda Bittner. Shannon's professional experience includes a role as Vice President of the Newfoundland-Labrador Federation of Co-operatives and previous management of a business, Urchin Art Materials and Papery, where competencies in financial management, contract negotiation, and marketing were developed. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in English Language and Literature, two Bachelor’s degrees in English and Education, and a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Carleton University.
