Jingzhou Luo

Jingzhou (Joe) Luo is a seasoned engineering professional currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Newfront since 2022, where responsibilities include overseeing multiple engineering organizations focused on insurance servicing and platform empowerment. Prior to this role, Joe spent over six years at Airbnb, contributing as both an Engineering Manager, where the development of a global payments risk and compliance platform was instrumental, and as a Staff Software Engineer, tackling fraud prevention and building large-scale data pipelines. Previous experience includes a tenure at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the Fraud Prevention team, and internships at ST-Ericsson and Philips, where innovations in low power design and infant monitoring technology were realized. Joe holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University and dual degrees in Electrical Engineering and Information Science & Electronic Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and Zhejiang University, respectively.
