Petri Pitkänen has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Petri started their career in 1996 at Savon Voima Oyj as a Design Engineer, where they were involved in project management for various systems related to energy metering, building automation, and electrical measurements. Petri also had managerial responsibilities, including energy meter servicing and maintenance.

In 2000, Pitkänen joined JOT Automation as a Project Manager, where they handled project management tasks such as quotation processing, project scheduling, and customer interface. Petri was also responsible for product ownership, specifically traceability and tray-based material handling products.

From 2009 to 2013, Pitkänen worked at European Batteries as a Production Engineer, focusing on the development of a new Lithium-Ion battery factory. Their main responsibilities included battery cell assembly, formation, and battery module assembly.

At Enfo, Pitkänen held the position of Project Manager in 2013, with their main responsibility being the company's internal development project for energy meter remote reading process. Petri handled project planning, follow-up and reporting, and defined the production process.

From 2014 to 2017, Pitkänen worked at Smart Automation Oy as an Area Manager. Petri played a crucial role in developing and building up the main processes for the startup company. Their tasks included product development, energy consumption audits, project management of various building automation projects, and sales and marketing of energy-saving products and services.

In 2014, Pitkänen briefly worked as a Product Manager at GIP Finland Oy, before moving on to new opportunities.

Most recently, Pitkänen worked at NewIcon - Health Technology Company as a Project Manager from 2017. Their role involved managing various projects within the company.

From 1990 to 1993, Petri Pitkänen attended Jyväskylä Institute of Technology, where they obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Automation Technology. Following this, from 1998 to 2002, they attended Savonia University of Applied Sciences, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree. In 2001, they also obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the American Society for Quality.
