Xavier Gargan

Xavier Gargan is an educational professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within boarding and educational environments. Currently serving as the Head of Boarding at Newington College since April 2021, Xavier previously held the position of Boarding Housemaster at Anglican Church Grammar School from January 2019 to April 2021. Prior to that, Xavier was the Head of House and VCE Senior Teacher at Melbourne Grammar School from January 2011 to January 2019, and also served as Head of House, Head of Faculty, and VCE Senior Teacher at St Francis Xavier College from January 2007 to December 2012. Additionally, Xavier was the Director of Sport at Lavalla Catholic College from January 2004 to December 2006. Academically, Xavier earned a Master of Education and Leadership from Queensland University of Technology in November 2023, having previously completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Secondary Education and Teaching at RMIT University in December 2001.
