Allison Jack has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. Allison is currently working at NewLeaf Symbiotics, Inc. as the Product Technical Director. Prior to this, they were a Product Technical Manager and a Product Technical Lead, Commercial at the same company. Before joining NewLeaf Symbiotics, Inc., Allison worked at Indigo as a Scientist II in Discovery, and at Symbiota, LLC as a Scientist in Product Development. Allison also served as an NSF-IRFP postdoctoral fellow at the National Science Foundation. Allison has academic experience as well, having worked as Agroecology Faculty and Director at Prescott College, and as a PhD and MS candidate at Cornell University. Allison started their career as an AmeriCorps service learning coordinator where they coordinated environmental science programs for a middle school.

Allison Jack has a diverse educational background. Allison received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a focus on Plant Physiology from Reed College in 2000. In 2002, they pursued a Master of Science degree at Cornell University, specializing in Soil Microbiology, which they completed in 2005. Following this, Allison went on to obtain a PhD from Cornell University in 2012, majoring in Plant Pathology and Plant-Microbe Biology. During their undergraduate years at Reed College, they participated in a semester abroad program in Tropical Biology offered by Duke University in 1996.
