Abbas Osman

Abbas is currently the Chief Investment Officer of Newlook Capital.

Before joining the team, Abbas closed several deals with Newlook Capital in his capacity as a Senior Advisor/Co-leader on Direct Elevator, True Canadian and New Taste Partners. At that time, he was the Managing Director of Vestarck Capital, an investment company that serves clients from the Middle East & North America.

Prior to Vestarck Capital, Abbas was responsible for managing the investment department of the Abudawood Group. The Group is very well known in the Middle East as the partner of Procter & Gamble. He was responsible for the group’s global investment portfolio that stretches across different asset classes and industries – mainly industrial, services, FMCG, aviation, hospitality, real estate and financial services. In his 15+ year career, he has managed a team of professionals covering private equity funds, direct investments, public equities, M&A and real estate. Abbas, to date, remains as an advisor to the group on their global investment portfolio.

Abbas holds a BA in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut and a Masters in Finance & Investments from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. In addition, he has attended several training sessions with P&G, Citibank and London Business School. Moreover, Abbas is a frequent speaker at private equity conferences alongside international and regional industry veterans.
