Elaina Ware

Elaina Ware is a seasoned professional in the mining industry with extensive experience across leadership roles in major corporations. Currently serving as Group Head of Planning & Mining and Operations Excellence at Newmont Corporation since August 2022, Elaina has previously held the position of Vice President of Operations Transformation within the same company. Prior to Newmont, Elaina was with Coeur Mining, Inc. as Global Head of Health and Safety and Regional General Manager. Elaina's earlier career includes significant positions at Teck Resources Limited, including General Manager for multiple operations and digital transformation initiatives, as well as various roles at Rio Tinto, culminating in managerial positions focused on mining operations and technical services. Elaina began professional career as a Mining Engineer at Kiewit and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and an Executive MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
