Steven Woods

Steven Woods is a highly experienced professional in the mining and geology sectors, currently serving as Senior Director of Early Stage Projects at Newmont Corporation since February 2012. In this role, Steven has spearheaded global portfolio management and strategic project shaping for exploration and resource development projects. Prior to this position, Steven held various roles, including Study Director, Manager of Business Development for Africa & Europe, and Chief Development Geologist at Newmont Mining Corporation. Steven's earlier positions include Group Executive at Consolidated Minerals, Manager at Gold Fields Australia, and various geological roles at Tarkwa Gold Mine, Kloof Gold Mine, and Northam Platinum. Steven holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Mineral Exploration & Mining Geology from the University of Leicester and a BSc (Hons) in Geology from the University of Greenwich.
